The first 'Midnight Movie' I ever watched. In UK when I was young we had just two TV Channels then when I was about 5 or 6 years old BBC2 was introduced. At that time TV shut down at about 11 O'clock at night. BBC 2 introduced the Midnight Movie which was shown on a Saturday night and finished at midnight. I often stayed at my grandparents house for the weekend and when I was about 9 they started to let me stay up occasionally to see the Midnight Movie and Sea Wife was my first. The only other Midnight Movie I have strong memories of is The Naked Jungle, mainly because it scared me silly and I had a lot of trouble getting to sleep that night.""Back in the 60s British TV shut down for the night about 10.30. Then BBC " came up with the idea of the Saturday Night Midnight movie. Sea Wife was the first midnight movie I ever watched. I was staying at my grandparents that weekend and my nan let me stay up to see it, a special treat, which I still remember nearly 50 years later. Joan Collins was beautiful in this(mind you she was beautiful in just about everything back then)."
